Simply speaking, hazmanah (הזמנה) means “invitation.” Hazmanah is an open invitation to all of humanity to explore Torah and live under the mitzvot (commands) of יהוה.
Hazmanah’s purpose is to reach out to the Gentile world and bring Torah to the Nations as we are commanded.
I am יהוה; I called you with righteousness and I will strengthen your hand; and I formed you, and I made you for a people’s covenant, for a light to nations. (Isaiah 42:6)
Hazmanah’s other purpose is to reach out to the lost of the Yisraelites who have left behind (or never knew) Torah.
Sow to yourselves according to righteousness, reap according to mercy, break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek יהוה, till He come and cause righteousness to rain upon you. (Hoshea 10:12)
No one Jewish movement is considered “correct.”
